Welcome to Desoto SWIFT Track club & the 2025 season.

o Participated in USATF as a club instead of AAU

o 32 Total medals

o 8 individual medalists; 6 Relays 

o 10U 4X1 boys National Champs

o 1st medal in the hurdles

o Placed emphasis on developing mid-distance.

o Enhanced our off-season training to include more strength work and core development.

o Rewarded all JO qualifiers with a JO team shirt and a new JO uniform.

REGISTRATION PROCESS- COACH SHARMEL

• New athletes’ fees: $320 – Due 4/14/2025
• Returning athletes: $220, returning no uniform - Due      4/14/2025

May be split into two payments. All uniforms will be held until the full amount is paid.

• 1 pair of Shorts tight
• 2 Speed tops
• Team shirt (dry fit)
• Entry fee for AAU District Meet
• AAU membership card
• Desoto East Track Rental (exclusive use)
• Club Insurance
• Club membership fees
• Port O Potty Rental (available 1st day of      practice)
• Off season training (October-March)
• Equipment such as, blocks, baton, plyo boxes, tape, etc.

• USATF or TAAF membership card
• AAU Regional & AAU JO entry fee
• Replacement T-shirt & uniform pieces
• No uniform accessories
• Running shoes nor track spikes
• Water or snacks during the meet
• The right for you or your athlete to behave anyway you want      (code of conduct)

• Read and Accept code of conduct for athletes, parents and       coaches
• Adherence required for participation; failure to follow may       result in dismissal from team without refund.
• Do not duplicate/replicate Desoto SWIFT logo or paraphernalia.      Logo Infringement

Practice days are Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

• Weekly team meetings are generally on Thursday before the      scheduled meet
• Not required but we suggest your athlete gets an annual      physical.
• Please leave parking #1 and #2  spaces near the front entrance to the      track available for DSTC Staff.  Do not park in a handicap unless you have      proper credentials to do so
• Be on-time (late may cause your athlete not to get warmed up      properly)
• Must remain off track/infield at all times. Please do your      walking before or after practice.
• Do not break practice by giving water or run alongside during practice. If you need something, grab a coach.
• If you know you must leave early, please let his/her coach      know. Athletes will be permitted to use the restroom when needed.
• Make sure your athlete has proper hydration
• If your athlete is asthmatic, please have their pump available
• Make sure your athlete has proper practice attire
• During the meet the athlete must get back in warm up clothes.      No walking around in uniform only
• May need to bring wipes or tissue (port o potty)
• Smoking of any kind is prohibited at practice and meet grounds.      Desoto ISD policy
• Cheer for your athlete not against someone else’s child
• Pick your athlete up in a timely manner (We are not a day care)

· Time trials- April 12th (12u & younger)

· Developmental meets, along with practice are for data collection only

· 2-year age division

· Heats against times

· Developmental meets are usually $10 per athlete & spectator but they could be more dependent on the meet host.

· First Meet April 19th
